Bio
Guillermo Sosa is a senior partner at the firm. He joined the firm in 2003 and leads the Intellectual Property litigation area, managing a wide range of administrative proceedings and legal remedies (appeals) related to trademarks, patents, copyrights, domain name disputes, and regulatory matters. His work includes proceedings before the Mexican Patent and Trademark Office (MPTO), the Federal Circuit Court, and the Supreme Court of Justice.
In addition to litigation, Guillermo oversees the anti-counterfeiting area, collaborating with various authorities such as the MPTO, customs, and criminal enforcement agencies to protect clients’ intellectual property rights.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of AMPPI (the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), where he is currently serving his second term as a board member and acts as the Coordinator of Working Committees. This association is recognized as the most important professional organization in Mexico dedicated to intellectual property matters. Guillermo has also been certified by AMPPI due to his extensive expertise in the field.
Additionally, he is a member of national organizations such as AMPPI and the Mexican Bar Association, as well as international organizations including INTA, ASIPI, AIPPI, and ECTA.
Committed to fostering education, Guillermo actively participates as a panelist in various conferences for universities in Mexico, sharing his knowledge with young professionals.
